Patricia Woeber - Writer & Painter

the writer

Patricia Woeber has always been surrounded by books as she came from a book-loving family. Schooled in South Africa, Patricia’s education followed the typical English language subjects. Later, she attended the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, majoring in painting and history of art. She also served as an associate instructor in painting.

After her children went to college, Patricia traveled in Europe and Asia, fulfilling a lifelong dream. Travel led to journalism, and soon she was recognized as a highly successful international writer and photographer. Patricia wrote for newspapers across the US and Canada. In Asia, English language magazines, such as The Peak, Marie Claire, Robb Report, and Wealth featured her articles.

Patricia resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband Kenneth.

the painter

I studied painting at the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. For 35 years, I worked as an international travel writer and photographer
for newspapers and magazines. Many of my painting ideas came from places I photographed during my travels.

The process of painting is fascinating, requiring the organization of shapes, colors, tones, and designs. Usually many layers of oil paint have achieved the final.

I hope you enjoy.
